Metallurgy-Non-ferrous metals

Sodium carbonate is also used in the metallurgy of a large number of non-ferrous metals:


  • Oxidizing calcination of chrome ore;
  • Precipitation of cobalt carbonate;
  • Obtaining the solubility of sodium tungstate and sodium vanadate in water;
  • Desulfurization of nickel cast irons;
  • Recycling of the lead from discarded batteries and industrial dusts;
  • Formation of a protective slag on baths of metal infusion during refining;
  • Recycling of aluminium;
  • Recycling of zinc.
