Sodium carbonate is also used in the metallurgy of a large number of non-ferrous metals:
|
- Oxidizing calcination of chrome ore;
- Precipitation of cobalt carbonate;
- Obtaining the solubility of sodium tungstate and sodium vanadate in water;
- Desulfurization of nickel cast irons;
- Recycling of the lead from discarded batteries and industrial dusts;
- Formation of a protective slag on baths of metal infusion during refining;
- Recycling of aluminium;
- Recycling of zinc.
